Experimental Dessert At Lunchtime

During lunch yesterday, I thought it might be fun to try to make some tapioca pudding, since I had some taro-flavored tapioca pearls. I started by boiling 3 cups of milk.
Then I added the tapioca pearls (this was just 1/2 cup, but I later added the rest of the container, probably 1.5 cups or so.
Just barely boiled them for 5 minutes.
Then I mixed in a half cup of sugar.
Boiled for another few minutes. Then, elsewhere, beat two eggs, and mixed some of the milk/tapioca mixture back into the eggs to warm them up so they wouldn't turn into scrambled eggs when I mixed them into the pot. Then I mixed them into the pot and boiled a little longer until it thickened up.
Then I let it cool until after dinner. Now it was time for some lunch. I had some pre-packaged palak paneer with some jasmine rice I made in the rice cooker. Quick and easy.

Indian Food On The Company Dime

After "District 9", we set off for Mehfil Fine Indian Dining in Redmond Town Center for an early supper.  I started with a mango lassi, which was good, although it could have been a little colder.

Next, I put a few items on my plate: a paneer and peanut/coconut sauce dish, some chana masala, aloo gobi, and paneer sagwala.  There was also some paneer stuffed naan, which was just OK.  The paneer and peanut/coconut sauce dish was excellent, though.

We got some complimentary gulab jamun, which I am not the biggest fan of.  It's basically a soggy donut hole.  I ate it anyway.
