Green Been And Bell Pepper Sauté

For dinner tonight, Kendra made this delicious green been and bell pepper sauté with garlic. I think it was originally supposed to have more of an Italian feel to it, but we dumped in some chili sauce to give it more of an Asian feel.  We also added mushrooms.  It was really good.

I went back for seconds.

It was a pretty low-calorie dinner, so I rewarded myself with some taro bubble tea, shown partly consumed here.

Leftover Lunch

I worked from home today because I wasn't feeling so well.  So for lunch, I just had some leftovers from last night.  A little bit of pasta with sundried tomato alfredo sauce.

And some tofu provençal. Yum!

Fancy-Ish Dinner At Game Night

Dinner tonight was at our friends' house for game night.  We made some fettuccine with sun-dried tomato alfredo sauce.

Kendra also whipped up an excellent batch of Tofu Provençal, which is so easy to make and so delicious and healthy.  It has tofu, green beans, tomatoes, onion, and garlic.

Our hosts prepared some delicious bruschetta.

And they also provided some delicious pear cider.

One of the other guests brought a home-baked lattice-top blackberry pie.

Which went nicely with a little ice cream.

While playing games later, we had some of this delicious chocolate.

And even more cider, this time, apple.

What a great evening!

Thai Food!

Lunch at work today was catered Thai food! Yum! A nice spread, with all but two dishes being vegetarian.
First up, good ol' Pad Thai with tofu. It was surprisingly tasty given the quantities in which it was served. I've found that noodle dishes in general are very difficult to produce in quantity without seriously hurting quality.
Next was a new dish I hadn't heard of, but was willing to give a try: Phad Pahk. This contained fried broccoli, cabbage, green beans, mushrooms, carrots, white onion, celery, and bell pepper. Hard to argue with that, so I took some.
And who could forget the curry? Red curry with tofu. Yum! Served with Jasmine rice, naturally.

I hooked myself up with a moderate portion of each of the three things, added a little crushed peanut and some bean sprouts.
The weather outside was gorgeous, so that's where we ate. There's my trusty Platt mug. Couldn't get a good shot of the lake and the food at the same time. Stupid railing!

It being Thai food, my second favorite food, I had to go back for some seconds on the Pad Thai and the curry. A moderate second portion of each.
Afterward, I almost had a Starburst, but I decided that since I had seconds at lunch, I have to avoid snacks for the rest of the day, and probably eat a small portion at dinner.
