Mostly Bran Flakes

Raisin Bran
Morning weigh-in was 232.2. Could be better. For breakfast? Some raisin bran diluted with bran flakes, and some soymilk. For some reason, straight raisin bran is just too raisiny and sugary for me. Why must they coat the raisins with sugar? Usually I like to just buy bran flakes and add my own unsugared raisins.

Same Old?
Just some corn flakes for breakfast yesterday, with some soymilk.

Oh, and a peach.

Oh, and the last slice of "Greek pizza".

More Cereal
Morning weigh-in was 234.8. Nothing special.
Breakfast was an illustrious bowl of raisin bran, followed by an only slightly less illustrious bowl of corn flakes. Both were with soymilk.

Mushroom Fajitas!
We had a bunch of mushrooms in our fridge that were supposed to go into some other recipes that wound up not happening, so we decided to make some mushroom fajitas! First step, chop mushrooms, onions, and an orange bell pepper.

Then, mix some fajita seasoning with a little bit of water.

Start frying on the griddle with a little bit of oil.

Add the seasoning/water.

Cook thoroughly.

Get some fixin's ready.

Eat!

Eat more!

Eat a little bit more.

Still wind up a little hungry later and have a bowl of raisin bran with soymilk.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal
Morning weigh-in was 234.4, 234.8, or 235.8, depending on which reading you trust. Personally, I'm inclined to go for the first one.
Breakfast this morning was just a bowl of corn flakes with soymilk.

Heavy On The Blueberries
Morning weigh-in was 236.6 again. Blah.
Breakfast, on the other hand, was not blah. My signature smoothie, but a little heavy on the blueberries.

Limited Breakfast Options
Weighed in at 236.6 pounds this morning. Probably just because I didn't eat anything after dinner.
Got in to work a little late today. Normal food service is suspended for the next two weeks, so options for breakfast were a little limited. Given that the usual cornucopia of fresh fruit was absent, I had to "settle" for some fresh blueberries, mixed with cheerios and soymilk, and a cup of cherry yogurt. It will tide me over until lunch.

Kurt's Signature Morning Smoothie
Weighed in at 238.8 lbs this morning. Not as high as I expected, but naturally much higher than I'd like to be. At one point I was flirting with 210. I would be happy to be back there again. The last time I lost a bunch of weight, I did it by replacing my first meal of the day with a fruit smoothie. Even if I woke up at 11:30, my first meal always had to be this smoothie. I just happened to have the ingredients on hand, so that's what I made this morning.
As it was blending, I threw in a teaspoon of Fiber Sure because more fiber means you feel more full. It adds about 25 calories, though. By rough estimates, each of the other ingredients has about 100 calories, so all told this is a 325 calorie breakfast. But Kendra stole a little less than half of it (what's left in the blender), so this was a very low-calorie breakfast for me. Probably less than 200.
- 1 cup plain soymilk
- 1 heaping cup frozen blueberries
- 1 ripe banana
- Put everything in a blender with 1 cup of ice.
- Host the most boring episode of "Will It Blend" ever.
