Cheese-Filled Lunch And A Sundae

For lunch today, I had the broccoli and cheese soup, a little bit of fancy macaroni and cheese, and a big salad with lettuce, tomato, broccoli, onion, garbanzo beans, mushrooms, corn, and a sesame ginger dressing.

I felt it was light enough that I could have a very small sundae. This is peach cobbler ice cream with real caramel and some bananas.

Breakfast At The New Campus

Morning weigh-in 233.2. Huzzah!

Today was the first day of business at our new campus! I'm really enjoying the fast network speed, but I'll also be enjoying posting about all the yummy things I get to eat here at our new cafe! This morning I went light.  First, a teeny cup of apple carrot ginger juice.

And a banana.

I might get hungry before lunch, but I'm going to try to hold out.

Mixed Lunch

Lunch today was a mix of things. Kendra had made some banana pancakes for breakfast, so I had one, just by itself. It was good!

I also reheated some of the leftover Thin Pan Noodle from last night.

That wasn't quite enough, but I didn't want to add too many calories, so I had some of a Fresh Express Asian Supreme salad.

Then, I had the rest of it.

That should tide me over until dinner, I hope.

Heavy On The Blueberries

Morning weigh-in was 236.6 again. Blah.

Breakfast, on the other hand, was not blah. My signature smoothie, but a little heavy on the blueberries.

Breakfast Before A Hike

Saturday morning we woke up, a little bit rested, broke camp, and made for the trailhead. Before we left the campsite, I ate two bananas.

By the time we actually got to the trailhead, though, I was hungry again (and so was Kendra). So, we broke into our sandwich supplies. I had a sandwich with a slice and a half of muester, some lettuce, tomato, and a few slivers of red bell pepper. I was so hungry, I was partway into the sandwich before I remembered to take a picture.

Kurt's Signature Morning Smoothie

Weighed in at 238.8 lbs this morning. Not as high as I expected, but naturally much higher than I'd like to be. At one point I was flirting with 210. I would be happy to be back there again. The last time I lost a bunch of weight, I did it by replacing my first meal of the day with a fruit smoothie. Even if I woke up at 11:30, my first meal always had to be this smoothie. I just happened to have the ingredients on hand, so that's what I made this morning.

  • 1 cup plain soymilk
  • 1 heaping cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 ripe banana

  1. Put everything in a blender with 1 cup of ice.
  2. Host the most boring episode of "Will It Blend" ever.

As it was blending, I threw in a teaspoon of Fiber Sure because more fiber means you feel more full. It adds about 25 calories, though. By rough estimates, each of the other ingredients has about 100 calories, so all told this is a 325 calorie breakfast. But Kendra stole a little less than half of it (what's left in the blender), so this was a very low-calorie breakfast for me. Probably less than 200.
