I had a picture, but somehow it got lost on my phone. Anyway, for lunch I had a big salad, and managed to get away without dessert, until later, when I got a small cup of almonds and some Reese's Pieces. I'm going to go back for more salad, I think, though.

Another Fabulous Lunch
Really digging the cafe lately. We have some "Scallops Verde with Smoked Tomato Wheatberries and Spelt" which were delicious and spicy (and the wheatberries were great too). A papaya and sugar snap pea salad with sesame seeds and mirin (got it because it sounded strange, but it was great). A stuffed portobello mushroom with squash (and a bunch of other veggies). There's also a small salad with spinach, fresh mozzarella, and tomatoes. Finally, the small plate has a polenta cake with succotash! I've never had succotash before, but it was really tasty.

As if that weren't enough, I had a small slice of pecan pie.

Lunch As The First Meal Of The Day
Morning weigh-in on Friday was 234.4 pounds. I seem to be fluctuating a lot. I also wound up skipping breakfast. Lunch at work was a crab cake and fake crab (tofu) cake with remoulade, a strange nori and potato roll with sweet chili soy sauce, one cheese-stuffed manicotti, and a miniature elephant ear (very miniature).

The crab cakes were not really to my liking, so I went back for a big salad with spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms, tofu, garbanzo beans, onion, avocado, and honey sesame ginger dressing.

They had a cake shaped like a milkshake, so I had to have a little of that.

Cheese-Filled Lunch And A Sundae
For lunch today, I had the broccoli and cheese soup, a little bit of fancy macaroni and cheese, and a big salad with lettuce, tomato, broccoli, onion, garbanzo beans, mushrooms, corn, and a sesame ginger dressing.

I felt it was light enough that I could have a very small sundae. This is peach cobbler ice cream with real caramel and some bananas.

Tofu Tikka Masala
For dinner on Sunday, we made some tofu tikka masala with the sauce from Costco. We started, though, with a random salad: tomatoes, avocado, carrots, and cucumber. It was actually pretty good!

Then the main course, over some rice. It's tofu with peppers, tomato, and onions.

I had a Hornsby's crisp apple cider.

And I opened this pineapple marzipan dessert, but it was so old that it didn't taste good, so I only had one piece.

The Sampler
Lunch at work on Friday was a sampling of a bunch of different things that sounded good to me. On my plate are: a vegan tofu and vegetable skewer, some flatbread, some eggplant korma (just above the flatbread), some curried potatoes, and some grilled asparagus. In the bowl is some potato and goat cheese soup. Yum!

Even after all of that (which wasn't really all that much), I was still a little hungry. Instead of hitting up something super caloric, I decided for a bunch of veggies, after learning that the salad bar now has sprouts. The dressing is some sort of Asian sesame something or other. But I've got lettuce, corn, tomatoes, onion, sprouts, and broccoli!

I still wanted something a little sweet, so I got a tiny piece of coffee cake, since it had some sort of filling that I hadn't seen before.

Lasagna And Salad
Lunch yesterday included the choice of falafel, but since I didn't want to repeat last night's dinner, I opted for the mushroom and spinach lasagna (two small pieces), and filled the rest of my plate with a salad of spinach, lettuce, broccoli, tomatoes, onion, and a blackberry balsamic vinaigrette. Yum!

I also had a small piece of banana cake.

Quick And Easy Dinner
I was so hungry when we were out at the store that I quickly made some salad as soon as we got home. They totally skimped us on the dried cherries this time - there were only 6!

Kendra and I each had a bowl.

Yum, salad! With a few calories in me, I was able to muster the strength to throw together some fettuccine with roasted red pepper alfredo sauce. Simple, but filling. I held myself to just one serving.

But I did have a Diet Dr. Pepper to go with it.

A Bland Dinner
Kendra's stomach was bothering her, so a very simple dinner it was. First, I sautéed some onions and mushrooms.

Then, added vegetable stock and some soy sauce. After cooking it for a while, I mixed in some flour to thicken.

What goes with mushroom gravy? Mashed potatoes! First, I boiled the heck out of them.

Then melt some butter and add some garlic powder.

A little milk.

And it's ready!

First a bowl of Fresh Express Asian Supreme salad.

Then one and a half helpings of potatoes.

La La La La La Lasagna!
We went over to our friends' house last night for some dinner and games. There was a delicious lasagna with spinach that was just the perfect texture. In addition there was cheesy bread and a spinach salad with walnuts and blue cheese! Yum! I had a hefty portion of the lasagna, and reasonable portions of the other two.

I wanted another helping of lasagna, but just decided to have a little more salad (I ate a few bites before this picture).

I also had a small glass of wine.

Once we started playing board games (Betrayal at House on the Hill and Bang!, for those who are interested), I had some of the snacks that our hosts provided. I probably had too many, but I didn't actually gorge myself so I guess that's progress.

The Olive Garden
I'm not a huge Olive Garden fan, so I was underwhelmed when I discovered that lunch this week was catered by the aforementioned purveyor of pasta.

I started with a plate of salad and a breadstick.

Then I went back for some pasta. I got some fettuccine alfredo and spaghetti with marinara sauce. The spaghetti was extremely overcooked, so I wound up not eating it.

To make myself feel better, I had a very small almond pastry.

Mixed Lunch
Lunch today was a mix of things. Kendra had made some banana pancakes for breakfast, so I had one, just by itself. It was good!

I also reheated some of the leftover Thin Pan Noodle from last night.

That wasn't quite enough, but I didn't want to add too many calories, so I had some of a Fresh Express Asian Supreme salad.

Then, I had the rest of it.

That should tide me over until dinner, I hope.

Three Chicks
Today's lunch was from Three Chicks Catering. The spread was decent, with all but one of the options being ovolactopescetarian.

I started with some of the Caesar salad, but opted to go without the dressing. Then I added some fresh grilled veggies, roasted red potatoes with rosemary and garlic, and finally a small piece of grilled salmon.

I think I took a pretty modest-sized portion.

On my way back to my desk, I grabbed a small chocolate-chip cookie.
